SCHOOL SPORT:

Boys: Summer: swimming, athletics, tee ball and sports electives. Winter: soccer, rugby league and hockey .
Girls: Summer: swimming, athletics, tee ball and sports electives. Winter: netball, touch football, and hockey.

Times for your child's Health & Physical Education lessons will be advised. School sports uniform will be worn on these days.

COMPUTERS:

 St Kevin's is equipped with Windows XP networked desktop computers and a mobile bank of Macbook laptops.  There are thirty three computers in the ICT Resource room where students  have access to the internet and educational software that offer variety and encourages creativity.  Each classroom is equipped with one to two networked computers which allow for easy access throughout the day. There is a mobile laptop lab which is used in the classrooms to complete rich tasks that integrate with the curriculum. Because St Kevin's sees the use of Information Technology as an integral part of a student's education, the school employs an Information Technology teacher.

FRENCH:

Years 5,6 and 7 receive 2 lessons in French each week. The Study of French culture is an integral part of the course. Students are introduced to French language and culture which is relevant to their own interests and experience in a logical and stimulating way. Students learn the language required to talk about themselves, their school environment, their sports, leisure activities and likes and dislikes.

THE ARTS:

The  school has employed the services of Ms Karen Meakins, a qualified teacher to work with students from P- 4 in Speech, Drama and Visual Arts. The cost of these drama lessons is covered in the general tuition fees.

MUSIC:

Music forms part of the normal school curriculum and each child attends lessons with  Mrs Catherine Donoghue who covers all aspects of singing, listening, creating, recorder playing and theory. As well as this, private music tutors can be contacted for the following instruments:

DANCING:

Mrs Donna Dominak conducts dancing lessons after school for children in Years 1-7. Times for after-school classes will be allocated early in the school year. Ph: 55 734 478

ART CLASSES:

After school classes in sketching, drawing and painting are conducted after school by Mr. Peter Burdett. 

 
CHESS CLASSES:

Chess classes are held after school every Thursday afternoon.  Teachers are rostered on for the supervision of this activity.

TENNIS LESSONS

Tennis lessons are available before and after school with TCA (Tennis Coaches Australia) Junior Development Coach, Jonathan Albertini. Lessons are held on Thursday and Friday mornings 7:30-8:30am or after school between 3:00-4:00pm on Tuesday through Friday and can be booked on 0407 933 305 or via email on j.albertini@live.com.au
