In 2012, Andrew Chinn came to work with student groups and staff in workshops, providing ideas for a new, updated school song. Andrew drew on the shared ideas from staff and students to compose 3 verses and a chorus. It was important to include aspects of the previous school song, as well as those characteristics that make St Kevin's the school it is.
The melody was added and sent back to St Kevin's for final approval.
In January 2013, at a staff professional development day, a large cross of canvasses was created with each canvas representing several lines of the verses of the new school song. This cross is to be found in Chalahn Hall.
